 Patafunk

Patafunk is a Venezuelan band based on a music energy that combines the human steps in life -PATA-, with a mixture of genres such as Latin, Reggae, Rock and Soul -FUNK- with a wide range of electronic beats, creating this way a unique sound. The band was created in 2007 and it's formed by Carlos E. Martinez a.k.a Cem Patafunk from Caracas and Susana Colina a.k.a Su Patafunk from Maracaibo. They release their first album "Dubdelic" in 2008 having the first single "Surferston" as No.2 on the Venezuelan national Billboard "Record Report" follow by the next singles "I Wish I Want", "OK LA" and "Hacenda'o" having an enormous reception by Venezuelan audience. Rolling Stone Magazine cover them twice, one giving 3.5 star to the "Dubdelic" album, and another to mention them as one of the best records of 2008. They are currently located in Brooklyn, New York and they are playing all over the US. They will be releasing their very anticipated second album on early 2011.
